I did my first regatta in Muscadet today! It was also my first time on board this "Little Boat of the Great Sailors".

Indeed, this boat is a small wooden boat (more precisely plywood 9mm thick!), but it is one of the very first boats of the Mini Transat. Suffice to say that it is incredibly robust, hence its affectionate nickname of "indestructible cage".

And indestructible, it was: just out of the works for the repair of two holes in the hull, the faithful Apero Veritas (The Funeral Choice/Stairway Club) was spinning in 30 knots of wind (60 km/h)!

After 5 hours of sailing between the sun and the grains (large rain clouds), we crossed the finish line in first position. victory

Whether on the job site or on the water, I learned a lot this week. It's a great pleasure to race in doubles, because I was able to progress on each position: number one, sail adjustment and helm.

And as for tactics (positioning himself on the water in relation to currents and competitors) and the meteo (anticipating the wind by looking at the clouds), I was able to observe my teammate Léo Briant (a seasoned nutmegist) in action: I have a lot learned, but for me it will be for the next time!
